AI Usage Policy

Version 2.0 · 7 operational rules for responsible AI

1. Scope

This policy governs the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning within the Endorsr platform. It applies to all AI systems we develop, deploy, or integrate with — including third-party AI services.

2. Our AI Systems

Endorsr currently uses AI for the following purposes:

DeepSeek Chat API: Athlete-brand matching, deal brief generation, compliance checking, smart pricing, ROI forecasting
pgvector (PostgreSQL): Semantic search for athlete discovery across sports, schools, and skills
OpenAI Whisper (via DeepSeek): Content translation and multilingual profile support

3. Operational Rules

All AI systems on Endorsr operate under these rules:

  1. Human oversight: All AI-generated deal briefs and pricing recommendations are reviewed before use. AI does not make autonomous decisions that materially affect users.
  2. Transparency: Where AI is used to generate content or make recommendations, users are informed. Matching scores are displayed with explanations.
  3. Fairness: AI models are regularly audited for bias. Matching algorithms do not discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, or other protected characteristics.
  4. Data minimisation: AI systems only access the data necessary for their specific function. Training data is anonymised where possible.
  5. Accuracy: We monitor AI outputs for accuracy and provide feedback mechanisms. Users can flag incorrect AI-generated content.
  6. Security: AI models are accessed via secure API endpoints. No training data includes payment credentials, passwords, or other sensitive information.
  7. Retention: AI-generated embeddings and temporary data are subject to the same retention and deletion policies as other platform data.

4. User Rights

Users have the right to:

  • Opt out of AI-powered features where the feature is not core to platform operation
  • Request information about how AI was used in their deal matching or recommendations
  • Flag AI-generated content they believe is inaccurate, inappropriate, or biased
  • Request deletion of AI-generated embeddings associated with their profile

5. Third-Party AI

Where we use third-party AI services (DeepSeek), we ensure they have appropriate data protection safeguards. No user personal data is used to train third-party AI models.

6. Updates

This policy is reviewed and updated as our AI capabilities evolve. Registered users will be notified of material changes.
